kyle beach has bravely stepped forward and identified himself as the john doe at the center of this case. just a warning that the interview is very emotional but i think it's worth the watch if you're able to.
also a few members of the team had media tonight after the game and apparently never got any pr training because yikes it's bad

in a surprising turn of events patrick kane, a player with sexual assault allegations against him in his past, isn't the biggest idiot of the night since that crown goes to the captain

Patrick Kane said he'd like to reach out to Kyle Beach and tell him he "wish he knew more" and "could have done something to help him"

"He's been living with this for a long time and it takes a lot of courage for him to put his name behind the story."

Here's what Patrick Kane said about his reaction to the investigation results and Stan Bowman's resignation: pic.twitter.com/6fp51izF7T

Kane says he remembered hearing "vaguely some different rumors" about why Brad Aldrich left, but it was very vague.

toews is, and was, captain at the time all of this took place and just kept digging his own grave tonight and i honestly don't even know what to say anymore i'm just filled with rage tbh

Jonathan Toews on Kyle Beach:

"Listen, at the end of the day, I don't wish to exonerate myself in this situation by saying I didn't know. But the truth is I had not heard about it until training camp the next year."

Jonathan Toews: "Winning the Cup that year is beside the point. Whether we won or not, do we wish they had been dealt with differently in some ways? Probably."

Jonathan Toews says he heard the Aldrich story from other guys outside the Sutton Place Hotel before Day 1 of 2011 training camp, by which point Aldrich had left the Blackhawks.

I asked him if he still wish he'd done something then, when he did hear about it: pic.twitter.com/cVOkM5KpvU

Toews was asked, in this question, if his opinion of Bowman and MacIsaac has changed. This was his full response: pic.twitter.com/38CW7zzmBj

he should maybe think about what kyle lost instead but what do i know! reminder that bowman and macisaac were informed about what happened and after a useless meeting with other execs did nothing because they just wanted to focus on being in the playoffs

also friendly reminder that a player on the team stated anonymously that everyone knew about the assault
