I remember in 2001 sneaking to the living room late at night to watch Spyder Games which was basically MTV's attempt at a soap opera. As I remember it the show got pulled immediately after 9/11 but I'm not sure if it was because of 9/11 or because no one but me was watching it, and I never heard it mentioned again.

Remember The Swan and Extreme Makeover? I know we have a bad plastic surgery craze now but it was honestly just as bad in the 2000s. I looked at the before photos of some of the women from those shows and they looked fine they just didn't have on makeup or glamorous clothes.

I also remember being a kid/preteen in the early 2000s and thinking Nicole Richie was fat because the media was constantly saying that she was. She was objectively a thin woman but because she wasn't as skinny as Paris, she was considered fat. If she was fat then I was a fucking whale.
