It's fascinating to see the trajectory of his career. He's always done weeeeeird shit but starting as an indie darling and oscar nominee in his twenties, then doing a bunch of popcorn action stuff, segue-ing into a weird brief rom com phase, some theater stuff, some musical theater stuff, and now back to the big budget violence orgy. Hate to admit it, but the man's got range.
