Where you happy with the finale? Even though we knew what the last scene was i certaintly did not expect the season to end like that!

I was so nervous during that scene, I knew he wouldn't die but I was lol The neighboors completely ignoring him on the floor was hilarious.

I was hoping it wouldn't be Jan because I wanted a happy ending for Charles, but he still had his "happy ending" in terms of recognizing his growth and the importance of his friendships, so it worked.

I ended up so glad that his happy ending was with his friends, and not in a romantic relationship. His speech about how he'd give his life for them was lovely (and hilarious since it was just in his head lol) <3

It almost feels like a better ending. He found a confidence with himself instead of just relying on a relationship to fix him. Well...until he got arrested lololol

They got me there, I thought it was that person then they made me think it was just a red herring only to reveal it wasn't lol Considering the ending, it seems they planned for a S2 all along? I hope so bc second seasons of shows which clearly weren't meant to last past one are often awful and disappointing. Solid finale, I laughed out loud in two different moments and I hardly ever laugh for real with TV shows.

I know most people seem to dislike/be annoyed by Selena's acting but Mabel totally won me over. I think she did a good job with the character, and I know she isn't exceptional or anything but I find her very charming on screen.

And again Tina gets paid to play herself, that must be fun.

I was so confused by all the "Selena talks so weird!!" "HOW DARE YOU THAT'S BC OF LUPUS!!!!" comments. She seemed normal to me? I enjoyed her acting as well.

Yeah, I think her choices (and the director's) fit the character very well, and I particularly enjoyed her deadpan delivery in contrast with Oliver's OTTnes & Charles' bitterness.

There's a little moment in the last episode where her and Oliver are talking about their first meeting in the elevator and he's like - "and we had that cool conversation about your headphones" and her eye does the most subtle twitch and it's so perfect and funny lol.

Also whenever she breaks that quiet deadpan character, it's great - like when she's surprised by Steve Martin's stunt double and shouts wtf lol. She got legit laughs out of me throughout the season - I thought she was good. Stiff at times sure, but good.

I unexpectedly loved this show and can't wait for it to come back. It was so funny and warm, but there was this undercurrent of loneliness/sadness that I really loved idk 😭

I saw some people saying that they were underwhelmed/found the Jan thing predictable and I do understand that, but I thought the episode was well done so I didn't mind it. The whole Fields of Gold sequence was so funny. I love the main trio's friendship and how it grew over time.

I really hope they bring James Caverly back for season two.
