This show has been a serious snoozefest so far. I thought this would be a good stopgap til raised by wolves is back but ehhh

I freaking loved raised by wolves, it got batshit in the best way.

The show is really slow, according to reviews the season only gets to page 100 of the first book.

i tried really hard, but this show wasn't doing it for me! either way, lee and alfred could both get it from me

Salvor is great, I'm starting to get invested in her story and the mystery with the archive. And I like her technically 70 year old 'manservant' who looks thirty something because he spent so much time in cryo. I've seen reactions from book readers that hate the chosen one angle the terminus story has but I'm not sure its completely like that. While Salvor is shown to be "special" I wonder if its a more general idea that while humans can be predictable, humans are also spontaneous and prone to not sticking to the plan, and that's what Salvor represents. If psychohistory is about predicting massive populations it would also have to account for the fact that some people do go against the grain

I may give this a try. It has everything I enjoy - old sci-fi, cool visuals, ominous monoliths.
