I actually enjoyed Sonny’s return to Port Charles and his reunion with Kristina got me a little teary. I can see Sonny eventually finding out that Carly and Jason fell in love and losing his shit. So the first volley of fallout from Sonny's return flopped harder than damn near anything, and that's very disappointing. However, I STILL got teary when I watched Sonny reunite with his children. The performances weren't particularly captivating, though that's not to say that they were bad, but the idea behind people getting to see someone that they thought was dead again, however implausible it may be to our reality, still had emotional resonance.

I suppose it was pretty underwhelming but I didn't hate it. I think because I was expecting it to be a non-stop Sonny shouting session, I was just relieved it was somewhat sensible. I did find fairly amusing that no one was particularly shocked he wasn't actually dead. Just another day in Port Charles.

I'm still holding out hope for the end result to be good. But that first round? Not good.

I can't imagine it is the end of it. I'm fairly pleased with this current crop of writers and I don't think they'd completely waste the full potential of this storyline.

I also rolled my eyes at Carly telling him how good he looks in his suits. I already miss "Mike"'s aesthetic. I always found Sonny to be sooo sleazy looking his stupid suits.

In my opinion, Jason and Carly have always had lingering feelings for each other, they just repressed them and went on with their lives. Carly/Sonny sleeping together while Jason was slowly falling for her put the kibosh on that but those feelings have always been there. It sucks that Sarah Brown isn’t playing Carly anymore because her chemistry with Steve was crazy and I would enjoy this so much more. I cannot stand Sonny, haven’t in years, so whatever. He’s totally going to screw Nina. I just want Jason to leave Britt alone, she deserves so much better.

Has anyone on Days realized Sammy is missing? Can we get Lumi now that it seems EJ/Nicole are going to get together? They have better chemistry and he isn’t her rapist so even better. Is this how they are writing Doug out? By killing him in the possession sl?

Carly has never been subtle about her lingering love of Jason. Steve's always played it more as a begrudged tolerance throughout the years, though I chalk that up to his acting skills more than anything else ( ... )

I just dislike LW’s Carly because she is truly intolerable when she’s in the mob’s orbit. Sonny/Carly are so unhealthy and toxic together, it sucks that they are the ~golden standard as the IT couple for the show. One of the reasons I dislike Sonny so much is because he has no remorse or regrets about his actions. Back in the 90s and even early 00s he still struggled with the implications of being in the mob and had to face actual consequences ( ... )

UGH. I hate that they've become the IT couple for the show. They are so ill-suited for that because, like you said, CarSon is such a toxic pairing. The show positioning them as the main couple or the "heart of the show" (don't really know the best way to phrase it) feels so off. It's like they got that way by default because their actors have too much influence BTS and they've been monopolized the show for show long. When you compare them to GH's previous "it couples" on other shows (like John & Marlena on DOOL) they fall way short ( ... )

The Eric storyline is rubbish. They could have even tried a little but noooooo

so who's gonna play the flute that will hypnotise eric's snake? Katie or Donna? If Katie then Brooke will go back to bill? Who's is Ridge gonna go to then? Donna is exhausting w that honey bear shit

I need sheila to be sheila and go bananas. I mean she shot Taylor to "death" and steffy's house has no security?! I mean cmon at least blame finn for letting her in or something?! They'll divorce in 50 episodes

Yeah, they had the chance to do something somewhat meaningful with Eric but as usual with B&B they dropped the ball.

I hope they have Sheila go full Sheila too. She's such an iconic villain, it'd be a waste not to use her to her full potential.
Regardless of how "Sheila" Sheila gets, there's no way Steffy x Finn is going to last.

Sarah Brown’s Carly made since for Jarly but seeing Laura’s Carly with Jason was gross. Lol.

I like Brit and she could do much better then Jason. I do like Sam and Jason but her lifestyle has always matched his.

I can’t stand Sonny and Jason when it comes to their mob storyline.

I enjoy Laura as an actress but she's never been my favorite Carly. While I'm happy they're finally exploring Jarly again after so many decades, it doesn't feel as satisfying without Sarah Joy Brown's in the role ( ... )
