I hate that women feel like they have to share their personal medical history to help put a face to the harm these laws are doing, but I am grateful they are willing to do it.

Same.

I hate that these laws are making women feel like they need to share their personal medical decisions. I'm glad that there are those willing to do it. But I hate that they have to.

Abortion rights are so key to women's rights. Allowing women to choose when and how to have a family allows women to pursue career opportunities or to get out of bad relationships or to just live their lives how they want to.

It always angers me that they feel the need to explain WHY they had an abortion, like they have to have a “good” reason.

I feel like I have to share that I found out I was pregnant right before my HUSBAND scheduled his vasectomy.

If I said “I had one,” and that was it, I’d be called a slut by some basement dwelling dick cheese.

It always surprises me that texas can be even more backwards than Ireland and Italy. I know that but it just never cease to amaze me.

This law is ridiculous, absolutely ridiculous.

Protestant Evangelicals are their own special breed.

Catholics have their own issues, but Christian Evangelicals are literally a death cult.

It boggles my mind that abortion is used as a tool against women the way it is.

I cannot fathom how anyone believes it's the business of anyone but the mother whether or not they decide to have the baby or not.

That's because you see a woman as an independent human being.

That's why there's so much hypocrisy from within the anti-choice movement: women who violently and virulently protest against abortion and get abortions themselves are only able to break-out of the misogynist thinking long enough to consider herself a person - a real person with real issues not like these whores who use abortion as birth control and just need jesus - and get the procedure done. It's why they can condemn women and children in the same position but make an exception for themselves

She's very brave for doing this.

At the same time I don't think it will change people's minds - if people had empathy, they would not be against abortions in the first place. The forced-choice crowd hates women and wants to control them.

Good for him! He’s right! I would not be taking a job in Texas right now.

the only thing the state government understands or cares about is business so it's the only way to get them to pay attention
