i haven't seen it yet but i appreciate knowing that i'll need to prepare myself for more otis/maeve crap. if only they had chemistry it'd be much less annoying.

exactly, otis and maeve have no chemistry AT ALL. They are so bland no matter what kind of relationship they have.

I was so mad about how Ruby/Otis ended. She was such a star this season, I loed her.

Also Eric being a serial cheater fucking sucked, I was like 'this doesn't make sense'.

Adam because such a 'root for him' character. You see what his issues are, and ironically Eric hurt Adam.

who would have thought way back in Season 1 that by Season 3 we'd be rooting for Ruby, Adam, AND Adam's dad?

Ruby deserves MORE. She deserves the Otis we got end of S2 and Isaac not deleting the voicemail so we could have had clear growth for the both of them.

Adam I feel bad for because you can see the generational trauma and I'm so glad he's able to stand up for himself now that his dad is out of the picture at school. Otis was honestly really sweet offering him options to help him express himself, and him doing the dog training thing and having people show up would've been great. I'm sad we didn't see him and Ola as friends more this season.

His scene on the bridge had me in tears.

Mr. Groff has earned a little more respect but he has a long way to go.

I feel like they completely dropped Ola and Adam being friends. Especially because Aimee told his mother he doesn‘t really have friends! They could have talked about Ola missing her mother and Adam and his father. And Ola didn‘t know Adam in full bully mode so she‘s less biased (not that him being a bully because he‘s queer was okay and it was a cliche in s1).

my biggest takeaway was jemima kirke being a terrible casting choice. she was so freaking bland & wasn't giving the evil energy that was needed. she was doing shitty things to the students, but there wasn't any like menace behind it if that makes sense.

obligatory not here for otis/maeve pairing. ALSO trying to portray adam as this aimless himbo was a strange move that i wasn't really here for it.

also, the Black people in this cast are the most beautiful people i've seen in my life (US netflix takes notes!)!!! dua saleh (they play cal) is also a musician and i knew their music before i even knew they were in the show and they were incredible! wonderful addition to the cast and really cool to see as a Black queer enby.

Jemima was an awful casting choice for this character. She needed range, she had -12 of that.

I am still sort of confused what they are trying to convey with Adam. Does he actually have a learning disability or is just a himbo? I did like his pivot to dog showing looool, I'm always here for screen time for some dogs.

I think they were trying to infer he has a learning disability and the cruelty from his dad over time has made it worse?

At the same time I was thrilled to see him back being into the dog thing, a call back to S1 and Madam being a thing. His face when he got that special shoutout.
