Jamie Spears tried to get producer fired for taking a selfie with Britney

In 2016 I took a selfie with @britneyspears that ended up getting me banned from ever being in the same room as her again, thanks to her father. I've never told the full story before, here's part 1...https://t.co/sdOb9dsnD8

I saw this on Twitter when he posted it, and I remember thinking it was so sad and telling that his suspicion was that Britney’s father really didn’t like it because he saw Britney acting so comfortable with another man and initiating physical contact with him when she excitably grabbed his arm, and he thinks that that’s why Jamie overreacted so much to the selfie and wanted him banned from being around Britney again.

Jfc how was this *ever* legal, I cannot living like that with your father having that much control over you as an adult woman, and scrutinising every move that you make

It's really shocking how the whole c-ship was actually far worse than most of the fans had ever anticipated. The fact that people were regularly removed from her circle the minute she showed any liking towards them is just....evil.

I think about Andre Fuentes a lot - from his scenes in For The Record it was so clear how much he loved Britney, and how good he was at hyping her up and making her feel confident in herself. Then, he gets fired before the Circus tour because of their strict non-substance use policy or whatever, I think it was rumored he failed a weed test. So, he's excommunicated and dies alone in his apartment years later, and I doubt Britney was even allowed to go to his funeral. It's so depressing...

Yeah Andre and his death is very sad. Apparently a fan asked Felicia in Vegas if Britney was aware of it and she said yes but Britney had been too distraught to say anything publicly (or not allowed who knows at this point)

I still can't get over how fucked up this is.

This was 13 years of her life.

Jamie's behavior is classic abusive behavior: isolate the victim, remove her emotional support system, immediately get rid of anyone who shows even the slightest bit of sympathy or connection to her, and claim that it's all for her own good. It's sickening to know how long this was going on.

Yup. It's classic behaviour and the fact that it has been allowed to happen to one of the most famous (and seemingly powerful) women in the world is staggering. The judicial system has also been complicit in allowing this to go on unchecked for so long. Let's not forget that Britney told the judge that Jamie had been abusive and how she was sent to a facility against her will and the judge did fuck all about it.
