I always side eye the lizard hashtags after QAnon even though I know what it means.

Rose is problematic as wonderbread, to put it nicely, but some of the tweets from Oprah stans talking about Rose being angry because she ‘stayed silent’ about her assault rubbed me the wrong way. Also there’s obviously a big difference between peak/post peak Oprah and a young, relatively unknown actress and (alleged) victim being photographed with W*instein, come on.

The only thing I can say is that photo is from 2005, she wasn’t an unknown actress and there are plenty of other people that night hanging all over Weinstein. It was amfAR’s "Cinema Against AIDS" Gala Presented By Miramax Films on May 19, 2005.

Still doesn’t sit right with me but It’s a tough one because while she has every right to be angry about the people and environment which facilitated Weinstein, there’s also a long line of white men and women ahead of Oprah in the list of culpable people.

I don't know about the Russell Simmons victims situation, but I do think it's entirely possibly to be friends with someone and not know about the heinous shit they do behind closed doors. Look at wives of serial killers/rapists.
