My daughter is obsessed with “my own drum” it was a good movie that we enjoyed as a family. Apparently Lin and Alex Lacamoire have been working on this since before in the heights and I didn’t know he was Cuban-American. Yeah that’s all I have

But stop hiring actors for voice work. LMM is just talking in his regular voice. It's ridiculous.

This movie was a real tear jerker but I loved it! I saw it 2x already (In English and Spanish) and I still loose it when Marta sings her song "inside your heart". I was also happy to see Afro-latino/latina's in this movie as well! Just gimme a damn series already so I can get more back stories about Marta and Andres!!
I also wish Jon Secada could've been in this movie too!!

Okay, people help me out here: what's bad voice acting? How do y'all hear the difference between voice actors and not? Is it bad mouth alignment?

Voice actors, I think, try to match their voice to the character, and their voices sound different with each character they play. They create a character voice.

People who are known more as movie/stage actors and who are hired for their "name" just use their same voice in everything they do. You are aware of it being that actor.
