I can't wait to watch The Lost Leonardo. I love docs about the art world.

Seeing Alicia Vikander's name in BECKETT reminds me how I can't get over how embarrassing her acting/accent was in THE GREEN KNIGHT. Time for embarrassment in BECKETT? We'll see, I suppose.

I keep forgetting she's in that.

I can never think about Alicia Vikander without remembering that a studio definitely paid for her oscar and i cannot figure out why they chose her.

I watched A Classic Horror Story on Netflix today and it was okay. It had a lot of potential but fell short 3/4 of the way. It was cool to see a mishmash of all popular horror movies tho.

I watched Ingrid Goes West earlier, and still a bit peeved by it. There's no heads or tails? Did I miss something? Am I just not deep enough?

Do you recommend otherwise? i've been thinking about watching it for awhile but I can go both ways with Aubrey Plaza and I'm currently not in the mood for that specific style of Pretty Los Angeles Film About Modern Life Maybe with nothing behind it whatsoever.

The movie is more a commentary on the style you mentioned than mean to be accordit to it. The aesthetic is used to highlight the emptiness of it.

OK, I've watched about 10 films at Fantasia and I think my fave so far is Dreams on Fire. It's about a young woman who runs away from home to Tokyo so she can make her way through their underground dance scene to be a professional dancer. I enjoyed it alot. My least fave so far has been Giving Birth to a Butterfly. Everything about it seemed so artificial.
