I wonder why it's taking so long to put the record up for preorder. Things are taking forever to press right now so it's not going to come out the same time as the release anyway. She announced Fearless in February and the record still isn't in stores yet.

vinyl only counts when it ships now, so she's probably trying to get the vinyl produced beforehand so she can get big first week sales. Since the vinyl is likely in production already, she is probably releasing this information so early to save herself from the inevitable leaks. Evermore was released in December and vinyl shipped in May, so if she sent the album for pressing around the same time she announced it then it's a similar timeline.

I don't think so, preorder backlog counts all at once when they ship according to some new Billboard thing so you'd think she'd leave it open for a long ass time
