Another Reddit mystery. Seinfeld’s apartment is impossible to exist and defies physics laws

Jul 29, 2021 08:27

Facebook postA Reddit user discovered that Seinfeld is set in a world in which the laws of physics don't apply to real estate. Throughout 9 seasons, Jerry, Elaine, George, and Kramer didn't notice that when they walked out of Jerry's apartment and turned right through the corridor, they then proceeded to walk through the space that their kitchen ( Read more... )

Meh. Most shows floor plans don't make sense at all lol. Look at Full House and the two sets of stairs (living room and kitchen) that lead to the same spot.

lol I know this is a stupid example because it's animated but it's basically the same thing, but ppl would get pissed off about the Simpsons too

What's wrong with the Golden Girl's house? I'm picturing it and nothing seems wrong?

From off the top of my head, I think the door leaving the kitchen to outside would go straight into Rose's room.

several different bathrooms have been shown during the show's run, every bedroom is an ensuite, the hallways make no sense, Dorothy's room is next to Blanche's but the way windows are positioned in both rooms doesn't make sense, Rose's room actually changed from its season 1 layout, there's loads, like, from the exterior shots of the house, where is the fucking lanai, the garage is clearly pictured in front but they always come in with groceries from the small hallway off the kitchen

I caught a rerun the other day and also can’t understand where his bedroom is.

The bending over backwards to explain why normal people can afford huge ass apartments in NYC is always funny. As I rewatch What I Like About You and that a single woman with a failing business pays for a huge penthouse loft.

Yeah I never care about stuff like that, same when people talk about how could they possibly afford the apartments on friends lol. They’re multi camera sitcoms, they need room for the actors to move from one side to another! You can’t give them realistic cramped places lol

Idk I’m not looking for realism in their living spaces

The friends one they explain in the first episode that Monica inherits a rent controlled apartment from her grandma but I don’t know how realistic that is either

I’m rent stabilized, not controlled, but there are rent controlled people in my building who pay no more than $400 a month to live in bougie greenpoint, so it def is realistic
