We finally reached the final part in our discovery of tormentoni, and this time we will focus on the maschi.

But before I start, I just want to repeat a point I made in the first post. I’m planning on doing more posts about italian music, focusing on various genres so there will be some names that will not be under the spotlight ( Read more... )

Grazie mille for the music in this post. I appreciate it as I would like to learn about other Italian artists.

When we were young most of my friends were madly in love with Nek

Luca Dirisio was EVERYWHERE with his first album, and then he suddenly disappeared, I was checking his wiki just the other day to see what he'd been up to since and apparently he still is a singer, but hasn't reached the same success of his debut album since

Salirò will always be a classic to me, Daniele Silvestri is an underrated artist ( just think of "La Paranza" that seems like a stupid summer song and it's instead about mafia men been latitano and then changing the city of the process to get the judge they want)

Saliro' is the song I always end up singing when I have to walk uphill xD (and when I eventually reach the point I mutter "invece sto sdraiato, senza fiato, scotto come il tagliolino al pesto che ho mangiato)

Also I'm sorry for featuring Jovanotti, I know you told me you are not a fan but I had to.

I love Cesare Cremonini's music and I hate that so many people still make fun of him because of Lunapop. He's written some really beautiful songs, I find him very poetic.
