• A few days ago Variety published a piece where they try to predict the Best Actress nominees for the 2022 Academy Awards.
• Basically the author of this piece is hedging their bets and names every single actress that is starring in a major or semi-major release this year as a prospective Oscar nominee. This list names Lady Gaga (House of Gucci), Frances McDormand (The Tragedy of Macbeth), Jennifer Hudson (Respect), and Kristen Stewart (Spencer) as the front runners despite the fact that very few people (if any) have actually seen any footage from these movies.
• But the list is mostly getting attention due to the fact that some radio DJ tweeted out that the publication had singled out "singer" Camila Cabello as a prospective Oscar nominee for her turn in Amazon's Cinderella. In actuality the author of the piece ranks her at number 40 out of 40 actresses, ranking her several spots below Scarlett Johansson (for Black Widow) and twenty spots below Emma Stone (for Cruella).
