This wasn’t true the first time around, at least not for me. When they were popular the first time around, no stores were selling non low rise jeans and my friends and I tried EVERYWHERE. We even asked the store clerks and all of them said the same thing, we all hate them too but this is all we are sent. So there we were, a generation of women who HATED low rise jeans but were forded to wear them because we couldn’t find any mid rise jeans in our price range. Granted, I don’t know what it’s like now because 1) covid, so I haven’t stepped foot in clothing stores in over a year and 2) as soon as I heard it was coming back I started buying and hoarding mid rise jeans so I can ride this wave out. I refuse to go back to that traumatic time period tbh!

the wide leg trend didn't kill the skinny jean, the low rise won't kill the mid or high rise - especially now in a world of thredup and mercari! i don't want to wear low rise either lol but believe me, we'll be fine

cargo pants are amazing, i bought a couple pairs from Eddie Bauer for hiking and camping and they are a game changer. they're way better now that they're high waisted and the weight of things in your pockets doesn't make them fall down and expose your buttcrack lol

i'm not confident enough to wear chokers anymore sadly, but i find them extremely hot on other women.
