The Emmys are so weird. The projected drama nominees are incredibly weak. Clearly it's far more about popularity and how much money the studio has rather than real quality

to be fair the tv season in drama was weak , The Crown was pretty much the only show that had a lot of buzz (mostly because it's the Diana season, all the press about Meghan Markle and Harry and how good Josh and Emma were)

I'll be shocked if anyone from any Marvel show (save Kathryn Hahn) gets nominated tbh. Also who else watched Halston and was surprised at how down and morose it was for a Ryan Murphy project?

I would be shocked if Elizabeth Olsen didn't get nominated! She was consistently the best part of a miniseries that plays tribute to so many of the sitcoms that the Emmys have loved over the years.

Lizzo Olsen has been campaigning hard for a nomination; she wants it bad. I wouldn't be surprised if she got one.

Her entire career has been her trying to get awards nominations and failing. This is easily the best shot she's ever had.

Team Kaley Cuoco pulling an upset over Jean Smart.

But I enjoyed them both a lot this year so I'm glad those two are the frontrunners. But idk if I would categorize TFA as comedy, hmmmm. Kaley had no chance in the drama category so since it IS a dramedy they knew her chances were better off in comedy, I guess.

I liked her a lot in TFA, but never thought of her as Emmy worthy for that role. Jean Smart tho. She was AH-MAH-ZING in Hacks.
