On the eve of what was supposed to be its release date, Lana Del Rey has unveiled the official cover art for Blue Banisters, her forthcoming eighth studio album. Photographed by frequent collaborator Neil Krug, it's definitely a step up from the PicsArt special she whipped up earlier this year.

Her vinyls are usually readily available when she releases a project so delays with their production could be why.

Also, she seems the type to announce a project along with a release date without informing the record label. An album release on a holiday and a Sunday? That’s def Lana being Lana.

She announced this album, then titled “Rock Candy Sweet,” the day after Chemtrails dropped.

i feel like she's always been extremely prolific, or at least had a higher output than a lot of other artists. i remember when she first broke out and there were SO many demos and b sides of songs of hers floating around.

I was obsessed with so many of those early demos, so many gems! Overall I think I ended up listening to them more than any of her official releases.
