Cruel Summer ended their first season last night and has been renewed for a second season in 2022. No further details have been confirmed about the storyline, cast, or characters for the second season.
OP i wrote this in the rejection notice for the other submission but in case you miss it - please fix source 1, it should link to the tweet but it's not. thanks!
[spoiler!]KALLORY!!!!!!!!!!!! ♥♥♥ I felt the vibes in the roller rink so I was hoping they went there and they did!!! :D
I was really feeling the whole episode and the resolution they were giving us with the two girls being victims in their own way and then that final scene [spoiler!]WHAT THE FUCK!!!!!! Jeanette really turned out to be a sociopath and I do think that she was set up to be that from the very beginning but the show really had me second-guessing until the very end. Wow! D:
Looking forward to S2 in whatever form it returns :)
It seemed obvious to me too but I saw some people suggest that they added that because they got renewed and I can see that happening as well. But I'm not that familiar with Freeform shows so idk really :P
Yeah I thought it was obv from the beginning. She came across as very unhinged from the jump to me but then someone said they added that last shot at the end and it wasn’t always the plan but idk if that’s true or where they read that. I also don’t believe it bc they were painting her that way from start imo
Well, [spoiler] Jeanette did insist she never saw Kate, so technically she was telling the truth. She's still out of her mind, though. She wanted the fame and popularity all along, which we saw evidence of all throughout the season.
I was on edge when [spoiler] Jeanette and Kate went into the basement. I thought Kate was going to attack Jeanette, or vice versa, lmao. IDK, it was so quiet during those moments that I was waiting for anything crazy to happen.
we didn't--jeanette's father drops by that one time, but nothing else happened other than kate sneaking out unseen. I wonder if he just said that to scare her, since we didn't actually see them, but you're right, we didn't see them.
Okay, that’s what I thought but I wasn’t sure if I missed something. When he made the comment about the cops and it’s only a matter of time before they’re back with a warrant, I was like WHY?? I just don’t understand what would prompt them to show up after all that time - unless he was lying, as you suggested
I was also confused by the cops thinking they killed Martin in a shootout. Who started shooting in the first place and why? Martin was dead in the basement when the police got there so why would the cops have a need to start firing? I really feel the writers dropped the ball on that part.
