I just saw Fauci was trending on Twitter for his emails being released. Is there anything worthwhile in them? I’m paywalled by the articles 😈 but I see conservatives are having a field day.
Regarding snacks...depends. But I’ll usually leave them in the communal pantry but everyone knows their mine, lol.
Idt so. I read the WaPo article and I took it as a nothingburger. There are some interesting tidbits about who reached out to him for private briefings (NFL, example) but nothing revealed any contradiction to his public comments. He was completely professional, never mocking the former admin, even when being serious about the progression of pandemic and his concerns for public response etc. some amusing anecdotes about how some media made him out to be a babe lol. Also he maintained communication with a China CDC equivalent guy behind the scenes, continuing to share info back n forth.
adding on to the previous comment here are some quotes from his email,
“Truly surrealistic. Hopefully, this all stops soon,” wrote Fauci in an email to a colleague, in which he shared a link to a Washington Post story about Fauci-themed fan art, clothing and doughnuts. “It is not at all pleasant, that is for sure.”
In another email, Fauci responded to seeing a separate article documenting the reported “sexualization” of himself and New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo. “It will blow your mind,” he told the email’s recipient. “Our society is really totally nuts.”
“Hope you are well under such a irrational situation,” wrote Gao, George Gao is the director of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
“Thank you for your kind note,” Fauci replied, the Washington Post reported. “All is well despite some crazy people in this world.”
