But of course the US, Canada, Australia, Russia, the UK, New Zealand, etc. were plenty anti-semitic before, during, and after WWII.
The Jews were convenient victims when it served that narrative, but plenty of people who will talk about the "horrors of the Holocaust" don't actually give a fuck about anti-semitism.

I'm also uncomfortable when the narrative gets turned into "this is the worst thing that has ever happened" given that it's nowhere near the first genocide or humanitarian crisis.
That's not to say I want to diminish the Holocaust, but all of the narrative around it has always felt weird. And, clearly, people don't learn the lessons.
