I guess I don't have to spoiler cut what happened in the last episode given the screengab of that preview?

I'll still be vague because it's early and I'm tired - for the episode that we were waiting on for four years, it sure was boring and annoying to watch characters have the same conversation over and over again for 45 mins.

Yeah I was so whelmed by it except for the very beginning. I cried like a baby at the reunion, thanks to the person who was not June lol. The end...again. Whelmed.

I did cry when she told Luke "I'm sorry it's just me." and he just hugged her.

Yeah her acting in that scene was amazing but the cringe of the love that's kinda gone between them overwhelmed it for me, which was maybe the point. Or maybe I'm off but given her connection with Nick I am not feeling them. I don't really like Luke though lol so I'm prob biased

I haven't watched it in ages because I just can't handle all the torture (emotional and otherwise) porn it is. But with the video preview I need to know, what about June's daughter (the oldest) did she make to Canada too?

No, that's part of why June didn't want to come back. Gilead used Hannah to get June to tell them where the other handmaids were hiding and June broke because Hannah didn't recognize her/was scared of her. I'm sure the resolution of that will be a finale at some point

Oh damn! I found weird that she had left Gilead, so I thought that maybe she finally had rescued Hannah! Thank you for your answer!

I'm getting the vibe they may end up following (at least partially) the storyline from the sequel Atwood released in 2019.

Weird to me that she's wearing red in that still tbh. I would never fucking wear red again.

I can usually brush aside the show's logical inconsistencies but since they made such a big deal about June...

[Spoiler (click to open)]

... on the boat, why didn't it matter that Moira lied about being from Canada? Why was to okay to Oona and the organization for Moira to have fake information (which would have to include fake papers) but oh, we can't provide fake information for anyone else?

And how was Moira using her real name when she's an escaped former Handmaid who murdered a guard and is working with an anti-Gilead refugee group in Toronto?? Something which I think the Eyes would definitely know about. Just felt jarring to me.

Also, "I'm sorry it's just me" broke me. The scene was very well done.

Yeah I also thought it was strange that [Spoiler (click to open)]Moira used her real name. I think it's believable that the Eyes would have no way to verify if the paperwork was real, but you'd think they'd check the names against a list of escapees, but maybe there are too many at this point.

Yeah, it could definitely be that [Spoiler (click to open)]there's too many for them to track at this point. Although Moira working for the organization that's handling the children + being connected with June's husband makes me think they should have -something- on her. Then again Gilead is terribly inefficient in some ways. I think I'm more annoyed by 'it's okay for Moira to have fake paperwork but not June!'

Maybe bc technically it isn’t a lie to say she’s from Canada if she has permanent resident status as a refugee and is therefore entitled to Canadian protections? This show loosely follows international law (they have a UN consultant).

The flashbacks kind of confused me because I thought [Spoiler (click to open)]June getting pregnant was what broke up Luke's first marriage, but maybe I'm remembering wrong?

i 100% remembered her being pregnant before they got married too.

on another board, they kept saying she was hallucinating that? which i think is bullshit.

[Spoiler (click to open)]Maybe she miscarried? That makes way more sense than "she hallucinated."

According to the wiki, [Spoiler (click to open)]there was a few years in between Luke breaking up with his first wife and June being pregnant.
