I'm sure people put it less than delicately but pointing out that a 27 year old doesn't look like a believable 17 year old isn't really mean. There are some 20 somethings that look younger and can reasonably pass, he is not one of them. Also someone with one itoa of self awareness would have seen this coming.

Yeah, I absolutely don't have it in me to feel even a shred of sympathy towards this entitled little man when women in their 30s are being deemed too old to play characters their own age left and right, while 50+ men get offered much better characters (and much younger love interests) on screen. But ultimately, none of this would've been an issue if Ben looked younger and not his haggard 27 year old self.

Go whine about it to your producer daddy, dude, you ain't Bianca Lawson.

And it's crazy bc a fair share of actors who look VERY much like teens have played the role on Broadway, so it's not like they didn't have options. Sadly those actors weren't blessed with having a producer daddy that made sure the director "couldn’t imagine anybody else playing" Evan.
