Plot: A 16-year-old girl who is bored with her peers becomes involved with an older man at a theater she passes.
What you should know: It’s in French.

I feel like it should be: It's French...OF COURSE *sigh*

"Michael is a recent graduate whose post-college plan is derailed when his girlfriend leaves him for a job in New York City. When the bus service hires a security guard to watch over the night shift, Michael comes face to tattooed face with Pineapple, a 300-pound punk rock Samoan."
So now the "Magical Negro" trope has a new indigenous parallel? Needy sad White people needed more help than only conveniently helpful, surprisingly in lack of personal needs Black characters could give? So they had to expand the workforce?

Apparently Suzanne Lindon wrote, directed and starred in that Spring Blossom movie as a 19 year old, which makes it slightly more interesting.

It was shown at a virtual film festival last year, people who have seen it, loved it but the description turned me off.

There's a Final Account screening at 7pm est tonight. If anyone's interested, you might still be able to get a pass using this link: https://focusfeaturesscreenings.com/main/movie_landing/bW1wbXA5MjMyMw%3D%3D

I'm bummed that this seems to be one of the last virtual screenings being offered.

It just got released today and it looks like it's just in-theater showings for now. Sorry, hope it hits digital soon though. It was...incredibly disturbing.
