I made it through five episodes of Home Economics before giving up. The sister is obnoxious as fuck.

Is a Million Little Things good? I think I watched the first episode because I like James Roday, but it was kind of boring and I thought it would be cancelled the first season

I watched the first season. I liked it because it had some good dialog about suicide and what happens to loved ones when someone dies by suicide suddenly.

I quit after the first season because I found a couple of the characters to just be too much and hated the pacing of the show. It's a shame because it had so much promise. It's possible it's improved.

i enjoy it tbh. it's clearly trying to be this is us - or at least was to start - but it doesn't feel quite as emotionally manipulative as this is us? they still try to pull at heartstrings and stuff, but idk. it's not reinventing the wheel by any means, but it's an easy binge once you get into it, despite the sometimes heavy topics

Yes, The Conners! Hopefully they'll back off Covid next season and go back to being less depressing. And let Dan and Louise get engaged next week!

I'm going to be fucking pissed if Home Economics is renewed over American Housewife, although the latest season has been a disaster. Mentally preparing myself for the cancellation at this point.

Agreed, I'm SO excited for next weeks Conners!

And also, the lack of news for AH and Rebel makes me think they're most likely done or returning in the Spring.

This past season of AH was terrible. I didn’t like the new Anna-Kat and the other new additions don’t make up for the lack of Doris.

I was looking forward to a pregnant Katy though.

I didn’t care for the parents referring to their son and daughter’s wives as “beautiful ethnic daughter-in-laws” in the pilot for Home Economics.

I've watched eps of the show on Hulu and it's so bad. Every ep is the same exact arc as the previous one. (but I can't stop watching, lol.)
But I thought that comment on the wives was supposed to make the point of how clueless the parents are?

Yeah. I wasn’t exactly offended, but my reaction was definitely like “oh.”

Anyways, I was rooting to like it more for Topher Grace but like you mentioned it’s like the same exact arc every episode. The show feels like a chore to get through, for me personally. Idk if I’ll keep watching or drop it.

They've been waiting a hot minute to cancel Black-ish and finally did. Though 8 seasons is a great run.

For me tv shows should have 7-8 seasons tops, also most network shows have 21-23 episodes per season so that's a lot, it is a very good run , after that the shows start to become bad

Tbh I think most shows start to crap out after S3 ends.

not cable shows imo, or at least most of them, and that is in part because they are shorter, for me a show with 6-8 seasons, 10-13 episodes per season is perfect
