I hope whatever Mortal Kombat makes in total is enough to get us a sequel, even if it's just direct to streaming.
I watched the original MK from 1995, Constantine, Nomadland, Justice League and started Sound of Metal which I'm trying to finish up but I keep pausing because Ruben is a dick.

I rented Shiva Baby, which is a cringe comedy masterpiece. Will probably be my favourite film of the year at least until we get into late fall, at the rate things are going. Having Molly Gordon in a supporting role once again proves to be a marker for quality in comedic filmmaking.

Plus, newbie director Emma Seligman is Canadian, so it's great to see new talent coming up (and making movies about Americans, sigh, that never changes).

It was so well done! I didn't know the director was Canadian.

Finally watched SOUL and thought Pixar could've gone harder with this one. It had its moments though. But [Spoiler (click to open)]Tina Fey inside a black man's body? I don't think so.
