Wow, semi-surprised that he owned up to it - he could have just denied. Just shows how so many bell ends in the industry will continue to suck up to abusers thinking they can still ride the coattails in the assumption that there will be no long term consequences.

I was kind of surprised that he admitted it too. Gross (but not surprising) to see how assholes support other assholes in private.

Damn it, I was multitasking and somehow hit delete instead of edit. The gist of my post was that I guess we should just be glad when people reveal their true shitty selves.

Unfortunately for him, he composed this email while he was on a plane and the woman sitting next to him saw the entire email. She transcribed it and posted it.

Wow

Yeah. While I'm kinda glad he got outed that's kinda fucked up that a stranger sitting by him not only was looking at his computer screen to see what he was typing, but also transcribing it and posting it? That's really fucked.

Yeah, that stuck out to me too. She must have known him/about him and the people involved, otherwise it's pretty weird and invasive for a stranger to do that?

It's completely invasive. It reminds me of the time that mathematician was on the plane doing his formulas and this Karen sitting next to him saw his screen, reported him to someone on the plane as being a possible terrorist and he got arrested when the plane landed. On the one hand, it's good he got outed but we can also feel :/ about the way it went down. I'm guessing she recognized him and was scanning his laptop as he was writing and saw something juicy and put it out there. Our society is getting more invasive in general.
