i DID love the american show when i was 16 and recently rewatched it and it's crazy how
1. the 30 year olds all seemed so grown up (and now im 30 and lmao) but also
2. the relationship between brian and justin seemed so hot when i was a teenager and now i'm like "get away from that child". i guess they tried to course correct b/c justin goes from a bratty teen to practically a crabby old man by the end of the series, they barely make allusions to the age gap being an issue after the second season.
i'm guessing that wasn't handled well in the british series either lmao
also my roommate and i bought the 1st season off ebay for $3 so we could listen to the original music and lo and behold the dvds were signed by Hal Sparks, Thea Gill, and Scott Lowell lmao

the original has so much nostalgic charm to it though - peter paige's charisma was off the charts! he's probably who i would miss the most from the original cast

I watched the American version, I was obsessed. Teenage me didn’t understand that Brian and Justin could still love each other and have Justin in NY, and that it didn’t mean the end for them necessarily. In my head they see each other regularly lmao. I still say fuck them for randomly making Lindsey fuck a dude tho, like bisexuality exists and you could have just made her a bi character that didn’t cheat on her wife w a dude but nahhhh
I will watch this for sure 😭
