The early seasons had such a warm 90s feel that I loved as a child (and still like revisiting)

The change to the sexy outfits was such a stark departure from the original look but I was like 10 in 2001/2002 then so I just assumed that’s how grown women dressed lmao, plus everything I saw on tv from the girls I adored (like Britney) was tiny tops and low cut jeans so it wasn’t weird compared to the other pop culture I watched, if that makes sense. They just looked like weird witch pop stars.

Idk being a kid in the early to mid 00s (for me) was just being inundated with women being dressed skimpy and thinking that was the be all end all of attractive femininity

If I remember correctly, this is also why they brought Billie on, right? So she'd be the one wearing no clothes all the time instead of the sisters. They ruined Phoebe's character when all they did was make her obsessed with getting married.

yeah I remember. I just thought I read something around that time that said part of the reason was to still keep someone in skimpy outfits after the main cast started pushing back harder.

They brought her in to give the actresses more time off and yeah, easier to boss her around than Alyssa and co.

I don't know if Alyssa had anything done but the one thing that seemed noticeably different in S5 was her really weird smile and the difference in the way she talked like it was a strain all the time

God I remember how bad it was. I had to laugh about some of the shit they even had Phoebe wearing to work! It was so staggering. I thought season 6 was good because I had such a crush on Chris and it was the most interesting plot the show had since season 4 (minus magic school omg).

I still wish instead of the reboot we had gotten a sequel featuring the adult Charmed kids.
