It really does fuck me up that being mentally ill and famous means she can’t even decide who visits her. I understand she may still have money issues and that a financial or medical (both?) conservatorship could still be the best route (I don’t know, I don’t know her personally and just want to address that I’m not saying I know all of the details) but the absolute power they have over her makes me so sad. I just feel for her so much. It just doesn’t feel necessary to control every single aspect of her life in order to help her manage her illnesses and money.
I still don’t understand why Britney has been under a conservatorship for over 12 years. Demi Lovato had an overdose that caused her to have three strokes and a heart attack. She could not control her own finances and who she could speak to for two years. Then she successfully got all her rights back even though she suffered brain damage after the overdose. I hope the courts, at the very least, fulfill her wish and let her pick her own conservators.

I hope she gets her request and her shitbag father is no longer in charge.

I also don't think Britney is fighting against having it in general so it seems she might feel she needs it, it's just she's against her father.
