"If you've been on the internet you've probably witnessed how intense and devoted some fans can become whether it's on tumblr, tik tok, twitter or instagram, and these can be fans of anything or anyone really, but when it comes to toxic fans in today's video we're focusing on "shippers" who ship singers that they believe are in undercover

but people who take it too far, break the fourth wall, share their gross explicit fantasies WITH the people involved, harass their partners and spouses etc are absolutely toxic.

Then again idk why I was shocked if I’ve seen how long ‘Larry Stylinson’ has been thing.

Case in point you had the telenovela shippers of the couples, which then fed directly into the shipping of the band singers who played those character, but then within the band itself fans would ship random pairings together too because irl they dated!! And not to mention they (the RBD management) realized the shipper's obsessions would make more $$ so they basically forced the singers to pander to them and blurred hella lines (they even made a tv show using the real actors names/personas and having them fall in love with each other haha). LORD. I'm sorry for this long ass comment but I just have too many feelings about the RBD/Rebelde shipping world I could talk about this all daaaaay

The truly crazy ones who make an identity out of shipping RPF are so bizarre. I feel like you have to have something really wrong in your personal life to think that Harry and Louis are together and Louis’ baby is a robot doll created for PR. Some of these RPF shipping groups are almost cult-ish in their behavior. Like, the BFNs will ostracize anyone who goes against their theories n shit like. What the fuck.
Fictional shipping can be weird and intense but RPF shippers take it to a whole other level.

I think the problem with RPF shippers is that there is no "source material", i.e. a story within a book/series, etc.
The people they're projecting exist on the everyday, so project whatever they want from the life of the singer, actor, etc, even from the most banal details they can built and entire narrative around it.

I wouldn't say that, no. The only reason I describe certain RPF ships as cultish is because there's definitely a sect of them where older BNFs manipulate gullible and young teens on the internet into believing their off the wall theories. Ex-Larry shippers in particular have spoken out about this.
"I have been brainwashed for a long time and when you’re damaged like that, it’s hard to exist in a completely different part of the fandom other than the larrie side.... This is how badly i’ve been manipulated by the big larries. they are a cult ( ... )
