My US mate and I used to call him the "Bonus Jonas", though affectionately... We figured he was young enough to be removed from the insanity of the purity ring debacle and unhinged fangirls.

Sucks we were mistaken.

It's crushing to learn he's struggled so hard (feeling him on the suicidal ideations; personally still hoping the alcoholism fucks off at some point but proud of him for getting sober) + so happy he's found a way to adjust, at least somewhat. As someone who's experienced imposter syndrome at bloody unpaid, voluntary care jobs, that's just another thing I feel him on.

Glad he's doing better. That quote is heartbreaking. [Spoiler (click to open)] I've struggled with suicidal thoughts probably half my life, and my mom made an attempt a couple of years ago that was really traumatic. She's doing good now though.
