Aww, I love this show. It's so silly, but Alan Tudyk's comedic timing is amazing.

I have seen the commercials for this and it looks like a fun watch. I need to try it out! I'm bad, I like to watch serials as marathons so I'll do that with this one for sure.

Not surprised at the renewal (ratings are great) but just at the timing - SyFy usually waits until after the season ends to renew/cancel shows.

Excited for this! And oops at me shipping the hell out of Harry/Asta.

OK, so in all honesty, I doubted this would get more than 1 season because it's not a great~ show, but it's goofy, and cute, and surprisingly heartwarming and heart-wrenching in equal measure. Some of the themes it has explored so far have definitely been surprising and handled relatively well.

But it also has its missteps. Some of the acting isn't stellar (the mayor and the Sherriff come to mind). The dialogue/writing can be hit-or-miss. [For example:]I thought the subplot with the alien's "wife" missed the mark a bit, especially when he drugged her and her reaction wasn't to split his head open?? Not to mention that he's a complete 180 from the man whose life (and body) he's usurping. She keeps saying that he's "changed", but girl, that barely begins to cover it!

Overall though, I've really enjoyed this season, and I hope they step around the trope-y story beats about an alien learning/forced to learn being a human and seeing the ~humanity~ in people. And also Sara Tamko is my boo!!! BYE.

I vaguely remember Sara in OUAT but I love her now (and Asta too)!

This is the first time I've seen her work, and I'm just *HEART EYES* every time she's on screen. Ugh, Asta is so lovely and sweet. I love every scene she's in. She should get more work because homegirl holds up against Alan Tudyk and he just chews scenery for a living.

I just watched the first episode a few days ago. Didn't quite like it but I'll keep watching.
