there's no legal necessity that a studio ask for life rights. in the US you can make any fictional portrayal of anyone. it's just that if the information therein isn't public enough to avoid a libel suit....you're at risk for a libel suit (that the person likely will not win, if the events were sufficiently public and they are sufficiently famous lol).

I was googling about this case earlier and was shocked to find an interview of Patrizia Gucci (Maurizio's cousin) where she goes on and on about how the daughter her grandfather Aldo Gucci had during an affair with Bruna Palombo was not to be recognized as part of the Gucci family or allowed to use the Gucci last name because the only real Guccis were the children he had with his wife. So I 100% believe these people would be frivolous enough to do this.

Edit: Sorry, he only had one daughter with Bruna. Also named Patricia (this one with a c!)
