Soccer fans stay being fucking awful. It's 2021, time to move on from using "prostitute" as an insult

I mean, you're 100% right, but also: Shakira's worth something like $300M vs. Pique's $50M. Analogy-wise, Shakira would not exactly be hitting up Pique for cash. I guess idiots using 'prostitute' to demean a woman aren't going to be bright enough to make that connection. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I totally agree with you. Her being more successful than him was what pissed me off the most about this whole thing, but I felt like it went without saying

I remember there was a boom in my country after this song came out and everyone started practicing belly dancing.

Shakira is a goddess. The type of "men" that do this are not worth acknowledging beyond ridicule. She's better than that.

As per usual with football insults, I don't understand any of this.

Are they saying she's a gold digger? 'Cause she's the famous one, sooo...
Or in what manner or why and how is the married with kids musician moonlighting at La Jonquera?

During a pandemic, no less

I think they're trying to insult Piqué by saying his partner is a prostitute. Which is stupid on so many leves, but what can you expect from people who take football seriously (and I say this as someone from a country where football is huge and I hate football culture)
