Gayle King asks FKA Twigs why didn’t she leave her relationship with Shia LaBeouf

I like how Gayle framed the questioned and then how Twigs answered it.

It was interesting how original statement made it look like he was accepting~ the abuse he was accused of but then "He denies the allegations. His lawyers said the actor "denies, generally and specifically, each and every allegation" in the lawsuit." show he's real feelings.

Gives a nice-looking PR statement but then with the actual facing consequences portion....cowardly denies everything like a true abuser.

I'm glad you said she framed it differently bc I didn't know if i'd be able to stomach gayle being a villain to her about this, so i'm glad to read she doesn't do that

So far she’s been doing good ever since the R.Kelly interview.

oh yeah, I do like her a lot and think she's done great with him and someone else I saw her interview, I just am personally sensitive about this particular topic and I wanted to watch but also wanted a warning if it was bad

a response to a lawsuit doesn't show anyone's true feelings. he's a narcissist, so he probably doesn't take any blame, but internal feelings is not the purpose of a legal response and I wish people would stop using it as such.

His response to the allegations vs his response to the actual lawsuit do speak different languages.

yeah, like I understand why Twigs recognizes the pattern of half-acceptance of responsibility than later rejection because that's very common in assholes, but no the PR statement and the legal response to her lawsuit are not in the same languages. in lawsuits just as a practical matter, you deny until it makes you look stupid, then you admit. and there are plenty of legal situations where you might in fact feel horrible guilty and responsible but not actually be legally responsible, and it doesn't make sense to then say you're guilty and responsible in the lawsuit.
