Lmao i feel like Asians are really into gold? My mom has a hoard and I ask for heirlooms every time I go home. When I was a kid, I thought it was tacky, and now I want to be covered. DRIPPING.

It definitely is for at least South Asians...my mom has gold bangles and necklace that she has been wearing ever since I was born. Like, the only time time I remember her taking them off is when she had surgery.

hahaha yes the obsession with gold is very pan-Asian from what I can tell. I roll my eyes every time a white woman claims yellow gold is "tacky," they're just mad it doesn't look good on them.

she has a lot of projects in the pipeline that i'm interested in. i appreciate her pivot away from her white man glorification.

His "How to Stop Time" is a fun time-travel story, if you're into that kinda thing.

i'm always fascinated when books get optioned before they've even been published.

Some get optioned the same week as the publishing deal, especially if the literary agency has a film rights person (which is a thing with some of the bigger / more powerful agencies - the film rights agent will often be an exec producer on the movie if it gets made).

I can't wait for the day my parents reveal the gold bars they've been hiding away in a safe deposit box for decades.
