Also I had no clue Keira K was so young when Pirates came out. Young me assumed she was late 20s.

I recently found out Xolo Maridueña was 16 and Mary Mouser was 21 when they had to kiss in s1 of Cobra Kai. Mary also said in an interview that she would kiss Xolo off-screen to feel more comfortable kissing him on-screen and that's just... idk, weird. Another reason to hate Sam/Miguel, I guess.

Yeah I saw the age gap too and thought it was weird. Made me uncomfortable watching Sam and Miguel. Didn’t like the pairing anyhow (think they both can do better). It’s just like couldn’t find an actress that was closer in age to him for the role? Weird.

At least on JATP, they made it clear in interview that there would be no kissing scene between Maddie and Charlie for a while.

Yeah that one and HSM at least have no kissing involved. Still weird but I know with JatP they’ve been very adamant about it (as they should be).

yeah, i think they should have aged up the kids. because i get why they got dudes in their 20s to play the ghosts, you can't have ghosts aging lol so the actors have to have hit puberty already

Yeah she was born in 1985 and Love Actually came out in 2003 so I imagine it was filmed the year before (like she turned 18 in March of 2003 and it came out in November)

Similarly, the first Pirates came out in 2003 so she would have also been 17 (and Orlando would have been 25)
