She might look the part, but Kristen doesn’t have the charisma.

And I say this as a Kristen fan.

Yea, the one thing every biographer/commentator/friend/associate of Diana has said that she was someone who was so warm and open (when with individuals), that you immediately felt welcomed and valued, even if she only met you moments earlier. Complete strangers would feel like friends.

I cannot imagine Stewart ever being able to replicate that in any way. No role she's ever taken would lead me to believe that she had the capacity. (And I said the same of Naomi Watts in her attempt.)

This. I think Kristen can give great performances but I don't think she can give this great performance. She has an energy that runs opposite to the energy Diana gave off.
