In 2010 movie Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Brie Larson plays the frontwoman of fictional band The Clash at Demonhead, where she covers "Black Sheep," a song originally written and performed by Metric. I always forget she's in that movie and then when I see ONTD articles about her in it, it blows my mind and I go SHE WAS IN THAT?!

I haven't watched Scott Pilgrim in forever, guess I know what I'm watching tonight!

I love this song. I still prefer the Metric version but I am a biased fan. Her vocals were on point!

I always wanted to watch Scott Pilgrim back in the day (I'm 34 now) bc it was referenced a lot and never got the chance. I kinda still want to watch it honestly but also feel like I missed the boat on this movie and won't really find it funny anymore. Does this movie still hold up?

I say give it a shot. I'm also 34 and haven't seen it in awhile, but it was definitely well after the hype and I enjoyed myself. Some of the Quirky MPD Girl shit is v annoying but probably won't totally tank it.

Michael Cera is almost intolerably annoying at this point but the rest of it is pretty great. I also recommend the graphic novels, where Scott is more fleshed out, and Bryan Lee O'Malley's other graphic novel, Seconds. I particularly love Seconds!

I've watched it for the first time in December and I really liked it. I haven't seen any other movie like this one so it felt new to me. Brie's character is also amazing. Chris Evans was still likeable. Kieran Culkin is the best in it.

The one negative point is the main protagonist. Such an awful character, played by awful Michael Cera. He's a mediocre's man power fantasy. But I think you should watch it. It's not as "bro humor" as I thought.
