I had Molly and Kirsten. My Kirsten's hair got crazy when I undid the braids so Pleasant Company said if I sent her back in her original gear they'd send me a new doll with a fixed head. And they did! I had a crazy amount of AG stuff mostly because my mom also was totally enamored by the "everything in miniature" aesthetic.

I had to send Samantha to the doll hospital. Her leg had come off IIRC, they sent her back in a hospital gown.

I never saw the American Girl drama but the ones around Mattel's other doll franchises, whoo boy. The amount of people who didn't think characters were obviously coded as not white....

I never had an American Girl doll :'( but I've always liked Samantha because her wardrobe (esp. her winter cloak) was so beautiful.

Anyways, good for Kira and her aunts. I would read an actual book about just the aunts and their koala sanctuary lol.
