I watched the first two seasons when they were on youtube
I really liked the first one but on season two the show lost me
that season finale was absurd to me and johnny's interaction with his kid in comparison with Miguel, nagl
I looked for spoilers but apparently on s3 Johnny continues neglecting his son, so I'm not interested
I think it's a fun show but imo not up for the hype it's received

so I don't go here but I'm curious - has Hilary Swank been at all involved in the show, even just a cameo or mention?

The showrunners said her character exists within the universe of the show iirc but she hasn’t shown up or been mentioned - up to s2 at least. Idk about s3.

oh ok.

Again, do not go here but something really makes me want her to be a sort've season finale or season premiere surprise? Just her popping up at some store there or from the airport and her saying something like 'home sweet home' or similar lol

I like this show a lot but it irritates me that 99% of the problems could all be solved if characters talked to each other but they never do, and from I read of s3 it’s more of the same issues I already had with the plot.

I just finished Ted Lasso too which is a show where most characters are emotionally mature when it comes to solving their problems so I don’t know if I’m in the mood for middle aged men living out their high school fantasies through emotionally vulnerable kids rn lol.

I’ll watch s3 eventually but I’m not in a hurry to binge it.

Hah, I guess I prefer dumb entertaining drama because I tried Ted Lasso and it just didn’t click with me. I’m 6 eps in and I’ll probably finish the season at some point but CK hits differently

I agree with this. It makes me want to slap 99% of the characters.

But I also feel this is who men are, because men. It's a documentary!

also explains why Amanda is the only sane character on the show

I get feeling for Robbie because he does continue to get neglected/abandoned every which way but I’m so bored of him/his storyline and I kind of wish he wasn’t part of the show.

To be fair though, I’m annoyed with most of the kids so it’s not exclusive to Robbie.

Johnny’s other relationships continue to be great though. Johnny/Miguel are still the highlight for me. So many hilarious and heart warming scenes with those two. Johnny/Daniel, Johnny/Carmen, even Johnny/Kreese, all great. Although I really couldn’t care less about Kreese’s backstory.

Hawk’s redemption was sudden but if it’ll get him to be more tolerable from now on, I’ll take it!

I loved the Japan episodes 😍

And Amanda keeps getting better.

All in all I give this season a 7/10.

sorry, it had 2 places for security settings, it should be public now. It is HILARIOUS, a year by year recap of the 90s for movies he saw and his thoughts. v. v. in character

This reminded me of steve Harrington’s college essay in stranger things.
