After some confusion on whether season 3 of The Mandalorian would premiere in December 2021, Jon Faveau confirmed during his appearance on GMA yesterday that spinoff show The Book of Boba

I figured after Jon Favreau implied Kathleen Kennedy misspoke. I was just hoping for early 2022, boo.

She didn't misspeak. she said the next "chapter" of Mando would come out Dec 2021, which is the Boba Fett spinoff.

And Jon Favreau implied it's coming out early 2022, since he said it will premiere soon after Boba Fett ends. Don't know where op got the mid to late 2022 idea.

at the time of my comment, op had "mid to late 2022" in the post, which they have since edited.
The article does not mention late 2021, only spring or possibly early summer 2022

That's true, but the Boba Fett series won't end until 2022 if it starts in December 2021, and I don't think anyone has said when in 2022 The Mandalorian will start. This author seems to be guessing just when in 2022 it will be ("we will likely").

Yeah, you're right. I mostly mentioned that because I was expecting Mando on idk, March? 2022 instead of something like August or even later that year like this article is suggesting :(
