I never really get tired of A Christmas Carol adaptations.

Me either. My local community theater puts on the play every year (except this year of course), and it never gets old.

the ghost of christmas future in this scared the absolute SHIT out of me as a young child. I always made my parents fast forward through that part lol

I like how even in the Muppet version Gonzo and Rizzo were like "yeah this upcoming part is scary we're OUT" both as a way to let parents know that this part might scare their kids but also to allow that act to be serious. I think a lot of other kid-friendly adaptations would have tried to add laughs into that part but it'd ruin the whole thing.

the muppets christmas carol really was way better than it had any right to be. it's surprisingly solid just as a straightforward adaptation of the book hahaha

I seriously hated the ghost of Christmas present as a kid. He was terrifying with how big he was and his gaping maw of a mouth and when he turned old I lost my mind. I just hated the human like muppets 😭 ironically I loved the ghost of Christmas to come.

A Christmas Carol really is a great story. I love the Muppet version but the Patrick Stewart version is good, too.
