I thought Emma did wonderful, but I can totally see the Emmys ignoring her and giving it to Gillian instead if they have to chose. Like, even just the nom if there’s not enough space for both.

The Emmys love to keep that award inside their “family” of former nom favs/winners. It’s a club that once you’re in, you’re in.

I googled the rules and it's super easy. It's just a memory game and you fuck up by forgetting how many marks you have on your face and what your number is. It's a drinking game so I can imagine after a few it's hard to do.

Privileged inbred freaks having nothing to do with all their free time but play stupid games.

But this YT comment has the rules:
How to play ibble dibble....
Everyone is an "ibble dibble", each person is allocated their number counting up from 1. Burn a cork and cool off to make the black marks. These black marks are dibble ibbels not to be confused with ibble dibbles.

1 person starts says "this is (their number) ibble dibble with (amount of black marks) dibble ibbels calling (someones number) ibble dibble with (number of black spots) dibble ibbles.

If you don't mess up it's then they're turn. If you pause you also loose. If you loose you drink and add a dibble ibble to your face. It's pretty simple but gets harder into the game as you must remember how many dibble ibbels on your face also everyone's sloshed 🤪. If you want to make it harder, don't sit sequentially by your number, so it's tricker to remember which number ibble dibble they are

I forget Diana was 19 when she was engaged to Charles. I was only 2 when she passed so the images I saw of her was when she was a young adult. I think casting Emma really showed the audience how fucking young she was and how she was apart of an archaic institution that expected to be just like them.

My only beef was that Josh was far too young to play Charles. He’s only like 5 years older than Emma instead of 13.

But the Crown actually did the royal family and Charles a favor by casting him as younger/more attractive than his real life counterpart. That at least gave the youths and newcomers to this drama one less thing to loathe him for.

I’m on the episode right now with the engagement announcement and you’re seriously right. He’s a vile loathsome little man and it would be even worse dramatized if you saw how old he actually is.

As someone who was born the year between William and Harry I never quite realised how young Diana was. And Emma really brought that home.

They needed Charles to look older and I think they didn’t achieve that

i don't watch this show so it took me a shamefully long time to figure out the title was gillian anderson and not a british actor name gullian.

I've had a feeling theres gonna be light rolling skating revival for a while now. I don't know if it'll last too long though.

there has been already! almost every other roundup post this summer was asking for skating advice lol (me included) so i think it’s here to stay for now. really loved that scene, it reminded me of coppola’s marie antoinette when it showed the converse except this actually made sense
