Season four of "The Crown" has done more than level the 20+ year-old campaign to rehabilitate Charles and Camilla's image, but has also reignited interest in Lady Di's controversial tea spilling 1995 Panorama interview with Martin Bashir. An interview widely believed to cause the Queen to demand the Prince and, then, Princess of Wales to officially divorce-- stripping Diana of her HRH status and access to the family's security

Claims are being made that Bashir poured fuel on the hot mess that was Diana and her brother, Charles Spencer, fears regarding the British Royal Family by faking and presenting documents to Diana, suggesting the royal staff was leaking information about her to the media-- and pushing her to do the interview with him as a result

The Duke of Cambridge, in a rare pass to the press, issued a statement via Kensington Palace. He stated, "it should help establish the truth behind the actions that led to the Panorama interview and subsequent decisions taken by those in the BBC at the time"
