Ryan Reynolds asked Taylor Swift if he could use her re-recorded song Love Story in a new Match.com dating commerical he wrote in which Satan matches with "2020".

For a re-recording it sounds very much like the original! I wouldn’t have noticed if she hasn’t mentioned it.

Going by how close to the original the re-recording sounds…I gotta give it to Taylor on getting the upper hand on Scooter. Most celebs would give up cause re-recording everything can be a chore if you’ve released 10+ albums but Taylor said “I’m vengeance b fuck you Scooter” lol.

yeah the fact that she immediately licensed the new version of ‘Love Story’ tells me that she’s gonna be licensing a ton of the re-recorded versions of her songs in order to devalue the original ones as much as she can

Yep. The current pandemic actually gives the time and advantage needed to do these re-recording due to lack of traveling around. And she can do recording sessions from the comfort of her home and zoom with her backing musicians.

I wouldn’t be surprised if by next year she already starts re-releasing the albums.
