tbh, I'm fairly certain she has an addiction and is probably still using something, just not the 'harder stuff' that worries her. tldr: my best friend and her sister work set design and step in for event coordination, have worked with/around her many times, and said she's absolutely still using things, just not as bad of a pothead as she was, and not as 'out there and open with it' as she used to be.

You get ten people in recovery together and ask them about this and you will probably have ten opinions. How she words it rubs me the wrong way cause it’s super important to her cause she’s an icon! But if she doesn’t want to be sober it’s no biggie to her and she treats herself. *blinks*

Cause she’s never heard of tolerance breaks like the rest of us.

This pandemic has been hell on those in recovery and I hope y’all have been doing the best you can. They have meetings online and that can be a life saver for those who need the structure and support of meetings.

Like, this being the case is why a lot of musicians (mostly rappers and rockstars) glamorize dying at 27. It does cement the icon factor for a lot of these people.
