i watched the new craft yesterday -- i enjoyed the first half but it ended really abruptly and they didn't build up/explain the villain enough.

it felt like the pilot for a CW show tbh

there are already people tearing it apart because it's "woke" (and some scenes are cheesy) but i liked it overall

The trailer looks like a retread of the original. How much is it like the original? Feel free to spoil me, because I’m not paying 20 bucks to find out for myself.

it was nothing like the original imo, very YA feel to it and no real stakes or strong personalities or struggle within the group

[Spoiler (click to open)]the basic set up is similar in that group of 3 outcasts find their fourth and start a coven

it differs in that in the original the power corrupts them and the 3 become the villains, etc.

in this one, the villain ends up being a warlock who wants to steal the leads powers. he had stolen her mothers powers previously (she finds out she's adopted). at the very end you find out her birth mother is nancy and fairuza makes a cameo.

while the coven fight at one point they never fully turn against each other, and then come together to defeat the warlock together

i can spoil more if you want

I’m thinking about renting The Craft Legacy but the mixed reviews make me hesitant to pay $20

Get outta here, I watched ParaNorman instead (on Netflix). Love that movie!

I watched Cabin Fever: Patient Zero a few days ago and it was a fucking trip. Totally horrible, but definitely worth a watch. Two of the death scenes make it amazing, imo.

I watched The Hills Run Red yesterday and it was so easy to figure out, but I really enjoyed it. I love bad horror movies, tbh.
